Area of Specialisation Vertical Tabs
The area of specialization concerns the modern scientific approach of the study of cognitive, metacognitive and affecting processes in several contexts, such as education, justice system, working environments and everyday life. In addition, it includes the study of dynamic changes in these processes, during lifespan development and aging, healthy and pathological. The emphasis is on cognitive processes of low and higher cognitive processes , as well as on cognitive control, metacognition and Theory of Mind. There are also topics of study on the effects of the affect, namely motivation, emotions and other affecting factors, such as mood. The age groups that are studied have an age range that varies from infancy to elderly.

Languange knowledge competence: Accreditation of a minimum European B2 Greek level, supported either through an official degree from the Modern Greek Language Teaching Center of Athens or the School of Modern Greek Language of the AuTH or a Greek University Degree.
Selection criteria:
1. Successful participation in the admission exam , with participation in the total rating of 60%
2. University Degree Grade, 10% of the final evaluation
3. Performance in final year thesis dissertation, 20% of the final evaluation
d) Performance in research and related extracurricular activities (eg publications, presentations at conferences and other related professional activity), 10% of the final evaluation.

The total number of students admitted to the postgraduate programme "Cognitive Psychology and Applications" per year, is set at a maximum of 13 postgraduate students.
Admission Categories
Holders of a Bachelor Degree in Psychology, Philosophy, Pedagogy and Psychology, Departments of Pedagogical Direction or Departments leading to teaching in secondary education, Departments of Medicine and Nursing, Informatics, Mathematics, Physics, Biology, Polytechnic.
Tuition Fees:
Attendance fees are paid in two equal installments: the first installment is paid with enrollment, while the second is paid at the beginning of the second year of study (start of the 3rd semester of study).
